Abnova’s RNAutomation™ is a fully integrated Opentrons™ automation for custom RNA synthesis and purification. Major subtypes of RNA include self-amplifying messenger RNA, messenger RNA, and circular RNA. Manual synthesis and purification have been the most prevalent methodologies for translational research and preclinical studies. These operations are challenged by inherent RNA instability, susceptibility to degradation, impurity contamination, and variability in yield and quality which hampers their applications in vaccine development, biologic production, immunotherapy, and cell and gene therapies.
RNAutomation™ service leverages five distinct hardware modules including thermocycler, temperature module, shaker-heater, magnetic block, and vacuum manifold to streamline the RNA production. Two independent pipette heads with 50ul and 1000ul fluid capacity support all liquid handling functions. A convenient touch screen displays the pre-programmed software commands for in vitro transcription, capping, oligo dT and cellulose purification with designated consumable placements for 50ul, 200ul, and 1000ul pipette tips, and 96 well sample, reagent, deep well, and filter plates. A two-prong gripper provides the robotic transfer during program execution.
RNAutomation™ service is integrated with pre-validated bioreagents and kits, and pre-programmed softwares to perform all facets of RNA production. This results in highly reproducible quantity and quality of RNA for downstream efficacy and dose optimization studies. Scalable, GMP grade production for preclinical GLP toxicity and PK studies is available upon request. RNAutomation™ is a highly flexible, open platform to accommodate customer-centric specifications in RNA synthesis and purification.
