Applications
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human testis tissue using STAT4 recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 26G2 (Cat # RAB07575) on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescent staining of HepG2 Cells with STAT4 recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 26G2 (Cat # RAB07575), counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 515-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein is essential for mediating responses to IL12 in lymphocytes, and regulating the differentiation of T helper cells. [provided by RefSeq
