Applications
Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescent staining of Jukat cells with PTPRC recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone OTH-74D4 (Cat # RAB03286).
Jukat cells on Shi-fix™ cover-slips stained with the chimeric r version of RAB03286 (1:100 dilution) for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (1:1000 dilution)- showing membrane and cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right- top-bottom RAB03286- DAPI- merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was an unknown specificity antibody (3.0) followed by staining with Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometric analysis of Jurkat cells with PTPRC recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone OTH-74D4 (Cat # RAB03286).
Jurkat cells permewith 0.5% Triton were stained with anti-unknown specificity antibody (3.0; isotype control- black line) or the r version of RAB03286 (blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing- the bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-r AlexaFluor® 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer. -

HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus belongs to receptor type PTP. This gene is specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells. This PTP has been shown to be an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling. It functions through either direct interaction with components of the antigen receptor complexes, or by activating various Src family kinases required for the antigen receptor signaling. This PTP also suppresses JAK kinases, and thus functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling. Four alternatively spliced transcripts variants of this gene, which encode distinct isoforms, have been reported. [provided by RefSeq
