Product Description
Mouse monoclonal antibody raised against native ITGB1.
Immunogen
Native purified human ITGB1.
Host
Mouse
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This antibody reacts with the beta1 subunit of the integrin protein family and seems to be human specific. This antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope of the beta1 integrin molecule. beta1 -Integrins mediate cell-extracellular matrix interactions and share a common beta-subunit. Numerous studies have shown that beta1 -Integrins have a distinct and wide cellular distribution and that there are alterations in malignant cells in their beta1-integrin expression.

HyperlinkGene Summary
Integrins are heterodimeric proteins made up of alpha and beta subunits. At least 18 alpha and 8 beta subunits have been described in mammals. Integrin family members are membrane receptors involved in cell adhesion and recognition in a variety of processes including embryogenesis, hemostasis, tissue repair, immune response and metastatic diffusion of tumor cells. This gene encodes a beta subunit. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants which encode different protein isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
