Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot analysis of Jurkat (A), C6 (B), CHOK1 (C), Hela (D) whole cell lysates with CDK2 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02408).
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Immunohistochemical analysis of human tonsil formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section using CDK2 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02408). The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.108). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescent analysis of HeLa cells with CDK2 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02408). Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a AF488-conjugated secondary antibody (green) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This protein kinase is highly similar to the gene products of S. cerevisiae cdc28, and S. pombe cdc2. It is a catalytic subunit of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase complex, whose activity is restricted to the G1-S phase, and essential for cell cycle G1/S phase transition. This protein associates with and regulated by the regulatory subunits of the complex including cyclin A or E, CDK inhibitor p21Cip1 (CDKN1A) and p27Kip1 (CDKN1B). Its activity is also regulated by its protein phosphorylation. Two alternatively spliced variants and multiple transcription initiation sites of this gene have been reported. [provided by RefSeq
