Applications
Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescent staining of MCF-7 cells with INSR recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone Fab 83-7 (Cat # RAB03610).
Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed MCF-7 cells on Shi-fix™ coverslips, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton and stained with the chimeric r version of RAB03610 at 10 ug/mL for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (1 ug/mL), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). The isotype control was stained with anti-Fluoresceinan antibody followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.Crystallography

Gene Description
insulin receptor
Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
After removal of the precursor signal peptide, the insulin receptor precursor is post-translationally cleaved into two chains (alpha and beta) that are covalently linked. Binding of insulin to the insulin receptor (INSR) stimulates glucose uptake. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
