Applications
Western Blot
Western blot analysis of HepG2 whole cell lysate, Jurkat whole cell lysate, PC-3 whole cell lysate, K562 whole cell lysate, HL-60 whole cell lysate, Mouse Brain whole cell lysate, Rat Brain whole cell lysate with GSTP1 recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 8F6 (Cat # RAB07395).Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human kidney tissue using GSTP1 recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 8F6 (Cat # RAB07395) on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

HyperlinkGene Summary
Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are a family of enzymes that play an important role in detoxification by catalyzing the conjugation of many hydrophobic and electrophilic compounds with reduced glutathione. Based on their biochemical, immunologic, and structural properties, the soluble GSTs are categorized into 4 main classes: alpha, mu, pi, and theta. This GST family member is a polymorphic gene encoding active, functionally different GSTP1 variant proteins that are thought to function in xenobiotic metabolism and play a role in susceptibility to cancer, and other diseases.
