Western blot analysis of K562 (A), NIH3T3 (B) whole cell lysates with CD49e HC recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02513).
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Immunohistochemical analysis of human breast carcinoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section using CD49e HC recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02513). The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.15). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

The product of this gene belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This gene encodes the integrin alpha 5 chain. Alpha chain 5 undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain to yield disulfide-linked light and heavy chains that join with beta 1 to form a fibronectin receptor.
