Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot analysis of Jurkat (A), Hela (B) whole cell lysates with BCL2 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02405).Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Immunohistochemical analysis of human breast carcinoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section using BCL2 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02405). The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.2). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.Immunoprecipitation

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes an integral outer mitochondrial membrane protein that blocks the apoptotic death of some cells such as lymphocytes. Constitutive expression of BCL2, such as in the case of translocation of BCL2 to Ig heavy chain locus, is thought to be the cause of follicular lymphoma. Two transcript variants, produced by alternate splicing, differ in their C-terminal ends. [provided by RefSeq
