Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot analysis of KITLG polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1884) in 293 cell line lysates (35 ug/lane). KITLG (arrow) was detected using the purified polyclonal antibody.Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot analysis of KITLG (arrow) using KITLG polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1884). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the KITLG gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescence analysis of KITLG polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1884) in HeLa cells. Primary antibody was followed by Alexa-Fluor-546-conjugated donkey anti-rabbit lgG (H+L). Alexa-Fluor-546 emits orange fluorescence. Blue counterstaining is DAPI.Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometric analysis of WiDr cells using KITLG polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1884)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).
FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis. -

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes the ligand of the tyrosine-kinase receptor encoded by the KIT locus. This ligand is a pleiotropic factor that acts in utero in germ cell and neural cell development, and hematopoiesis, all believed to reflect a role in cell migration. In adults, it functions pleiotropically, while mostly noted for its continued requirement in hematopoiesis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
