  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • The AURKC polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4511) is used in Western blot to detect AURKC in lysates of 293 cells expressing Flag tag (lane 1) , Flag-tagged AURKA (lane 2) , Flag-tagged AURKB (lane 3) or Flag-tagged AURKC (lane 4) .
  • Immunofluorescence
  • Immunofluorescence
  • In the immunofluorescence experiment, staining of HeLa cells expressing GFP-AURKC is performed at different cellular mitotic stages with The AURKC polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4511) as primary antibody (column A), GFP fluorescence (column B), DAPI nuclear staining (column C), and anti-AURKC merged to DAPI staining (column D). Data is kindly provided by Drs . K . Sasai and S . Sen from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX).

  • Gene Information
  • Entrez GeneID:
  • 6795
  • Gene Name:
  • AURKC
  • Gene Alias:
  • AIE2,AIK3,AurC,STK13,aurora-C
  • Gene Description:
  • aurora kinase C
  • Gene Summary:
  • This gene encodes a member of the Aurora subfamily of serine/threonine protein kinases. The encoded protein is a chromosomal passenger protein that forms complexes with Aurora-B and inner centromere proteins and may play a role in organizing microtubules in relation to centrosome/spindle function during mitosis. This gene is overexpressed in several cancer cell lines, suggesting an involvement in oncogenic signal transduction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq
