Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
The USP14 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4199) is used in Western blot to detect USP14 in HeLa cell lysates . Transfection data is kindly provided by Dr . B . Pierrat from the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research (Basel, Switzerland) .Western Blot (Cell lysate)
The USP14 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4199) is used in Western blot to detect USP14 in A-375 . Transfection data is kindly provided by Dr . B . Pierrat from the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research (Basel, Switzerland) .Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with USP14 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4199) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining . This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated . BC = breast carcinoma .Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the ubiquitin-specific processing (UBP) family of proteases that is a deubiquitinating enzyme (DUB) with His and Cys domains. This protein is located in the cytoplasm and cleaves the ubiquitin moiety from ubiquitin-fused precursors and ubiquitinylated proteins. Mice with a mutation that results in reduced expression of the ortholog of this protein are retarded for growth, develop severe tremors by 2 to 3 weeks of age followed by hindlimb paralysis and death by 6 to 10 weeks of age. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq
