Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against synthetic peptide of CDKN1C.
A synthetic peptide corresponding to 17 amino acids at N-terminus of human CDKN1C.
Theoretical MW (kDa):
At least three isoforms of CDKN1C are known to exist; this antibody will detect all three isoforms. Despite its predicted molecular weight, CDKN1C often migrates at 57kDa in SDS-PAGE. CDKN1C antibody is predicted to not cross react with other CIP/KIP proteins.
Peptide affinity purification
Western Blot (1-2 ug/mL) The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
In PBS (0.05% sodium azide)
Store at 4°C for three months. For long term storage store at -20°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.
The protein encoded by this gene is a tight-binding, strong inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/Cdk complexes and a negative regulator of cell proliferation. Mutations in this gene are implicated in sporadic cancers and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndorome, suggesting that this gene is a tumor suppressor candidate. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
