Applications
Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescent staining of human peripheral blood monocytes with ITGB2 recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 1B4 (Cat # RAB03177).
Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed human peripheral blood monocytes immobilized on Shi-fix™ cover-slips and stained with the chimeric r version of RAB03177 at 10 ug/ml followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml)- showing membrane staining in a subset of cells. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). The isotype control was stained with anti-Fluorescein antibody (3.0) followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay
Radioimmunoassay
Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes with ITGB2 recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 1B4 (Cat # RAB03177).
Human peripheral blood leukocytes were stained with anti-Fluorescein IgG antibody (isotype control- black line) or the r1 version of RAB03177 (blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing- bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-mouse IgG AlexaFluor® 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.Flow Cytometry

Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
The product of this gene belongs to the integrin beta chain family of proteins. Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This gene encodes the integrin beta chain beta 2. A given chain may combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. For example, beta 2 combines with the alpha L chain to form the integrin LFA-1, and combines with the alpha M chain to form the integrin Mac-1. Integrins are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling. Defects in this gene are the cause of leukocyte adhesion deficiency type I (LAD1). Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
