Form
Lyophilized
Preparation Method
Escherichia coli expression system
Purification
chromatographic
Purity
> 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Activity
Reduced the production of LPS-induced TNF by the ability to neutralize endogenous TRAIL in fresh human PBMC. In this assay, endogenous TRAIL is induced during a 24 hour exposure to LPS (10 ng/mL).
Storage Buffer
Lyophilized from 1X PBS, pH 7.4. Reconstitute the lyophilized powder in ddH2O to 100 ug/mL.
Storage Instruction
Lyophilized protein at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored at -20°C. Protein aliquots at 4°C for 2-7 days and should be stored at -20°C to -80°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. -

Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily, and contains an intracellular death domain. This receptor can be activated by tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TNFSF10/TRAIL/APO-2L), and transduces an apoptosis signal. Studies with FADD-deficient mice suggested that FADD, a death domain containing adaptor protein, is required for the apoptosis mediated by this protein. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms and one non-coding transcript have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
