Lyophilized
Preparation Method
Escherichia coli expression system
Purity
> 95% by SDS-PAGE.
> 95% by RP-HPLC.Activity
The Biological Activity was determined by measuring the dose dependent activation of STAT3 in human epidermal keratinocytes (HEKa cells). Significant STAT3 activation is observed with 100 ng/mL of recombinant human IL-20 corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000 IU/mg.
Storage Buffer
Lyophilized from with no additives
Storage Instruction
Lyophilized although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. -

HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine structurally related to interleukin 10 (IL10). This cytokine has been shown to transduce its signal through signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in keratinocytes. A specific receptor for this cytokine is found to be expressed in skin and upregulated dramatically in psoriatic skin, suggesting a role for this protein in epidermal function and psoriasis.
