Retrieval of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) is a powerful tool for identifying and tracking cancer transformation and metastasis in translational research and clinical applications. CytoQuest™ CR platform utilizes antibody immobilized, nanopillar arrays with thermo-sensitive chip to capture the CTCs, and a specially designed thermal control device to release the CTCs. Monoclonal antibodies targeting specific surface biomarkers of tumor cells can be flexibly interchanged to accommodate the biomarker switch in cell progression. The derived CTCs can be used for downstream cell culture, protein biomarker characterization, and/or gene analyses via fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), microarray, and next generation sequencing (NGS).
