< 1 EU per 1 ug of protein (determined by LAL method)
Activity:
Specific activity is > 10000 unit/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyze 1.0 nmole of p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) per minute at pH 5.0 at 37°C.
Quality Control Testing:
3 ug by SDS-PAGE under reducing condition and visualized by Coomassie blue stain.
Storage Buffer:
In Phosphate-Buffer Saline pH 7.4 (10% glycerol)
Storage Instruction:
Store at 2°C to 8°C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This gene encodes an iron containing glycoprotein which catalyzes the conversion of orthophosphoric monoester to alcohol and orthophosphate. It is the most basic of the acid phosphatases and is the only form not inhibited by L(+)-tartrate. [provided by RefSeq
