  • Applications
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western blot using GAPDH polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB10014) shows detection of a single band at ~39 kDa corresponding to GAPDH (arrowhead) in HeLa cell lysates.
The predicted MW of GAPDH is 36 kDa.
    GAPDH was detected using 125 ng/ml (lane A), 250 ng/ml (lane B) and 500 ng/ml (lane C) concentrations of primary antibody.
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Immunohistochemical staining using GAPDH polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB10014) at 10 ug/mL shows detection of GAPDH in human liver tissue. Tissue was fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde using a section 4.2 um thick.

  • 2597
  • Protein Accession#:
  • P04406;NP_002037
  • Gene Name:
  • GAPDH
  • Gene Alias:
  • G3PD,GAPD,MGC88685
  • Gene Description:
  • glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase
  • Gene Summary:
  • The product of this gene catalyzes an important energy-yielding step in carbohydrate metabolism, the reversible oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate in the presence of inorganic phosphate and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). The enzyme exists as a tetramer of identical chains. Many pseudogenes similar to this locus are present in the human genome. [provided by RefSeq
