Applications
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot using TP53BP2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB9975) to detect over-expressed TP53BP2 in MCF-7 cells (Lane 2, arrowhead).
Lane 1 is a non-transfected control.
Lane 3 is MCF-7 cells over-expressing PPP1R13B.
Cell extracts were electrophoresed and transferred to nitrocellulose.
The membrane was probed with the primary antibody at a 1 : 1,000 dilution.
The identity of the lower MW band at approximately 40 KDa is unknown.

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the ASPP (apoptosis-stimulating protein of p53) family of p53 interacting proteins. The protein contains four ankyrin repeats and an SH3 domain involved in protein-protein interactions. It is localized to the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm, and regulates apoptosis and cell growth through interactions with other regulatory molecules including members of the p53 family. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
