Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot of Jurkat cells expressing CFL1. Blots were treated with (lanes 2, 3) or without (lane 1) lambda phosphatase for 1 hr at 37 °C. In lane 3, phosphatase treatments were performed in the presence of phospho-CFL1 (Ser-3) peptide. Blots were probed with CFL1 (phospho S3) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB7900) (lane 1). Phosphatase treatment removes Ser3 phosphorylation of CFL1, but this phosphatase activity is reduced in the presence of peptide.Immunofluorescence
Immunocytochemical labeling in chick dorsal root ganglion neurons using CFL1 (phospho S3) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB7900). (Images provided by Dr. Diane Snow, Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology, University of Kentucky).Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

HyperlinkGene Summary
Cofilin is a widely distributed intracellular actin-modulating protein that binds and depolymerizes filamentous F-actin and inhibits the polymerization of monomeric G-actin in a pH-dependent manner. It is involved in the translocation of actin-cofilin complex from cytoplasm to nucleus.[supplied by OMIM
