Western blot analysis of K-562 cell lysate (35 ug/lane) with MMP19 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4786).
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with MMP19 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4786) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry ; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma.
Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometric analysis of K-562 cells using MMP19 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4786)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).
FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. This protein is expressed in human epidermis and it has a role in cellular proliferation as well as migration and adhesion to type I collagen. Multiple transcript variants encoding distict isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
