Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
The MAGEA3 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4745) is used in Western blot to detect MAGEA3 in Jurkat cell lysate.Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) of human breast cancer tissue withMAGEA3 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4745). Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining.Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay
Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometric analysis of Jurkat cells using MAGEA3 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4745) (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).
FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis -

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene is a member of the MAGEA gene family. The members of this family encode proteins with 50 to 80% sequence identity to each other. The promoters and first exons of the MAGEA genes show considerable variability, suggesting that the existence of this gene family enables the same function to be expressed under different transcriptional controls. The MAGEA genes are clustered at chromosomal location Xq28. They have been implicated in some hereditary disorders, such as dyskeratosis congenita. [provided by RefSeq
