Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
The PKLR polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4572) is used in Western blot to detect PKLR in NIH/3T3 cell lysate .Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with PKLR polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4572) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining . This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated . BC = breast carcinoma .Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the transphosphorylation of phohsphoenolpyruvate into pyruvate and ATP, which is the rate-limiting step of glycolysis. Defects in this enzyme, due to gene mutations or genetic variations, are the common cause of chronic hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia (CNSHA or HNSHA). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
