Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
The PDK4 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4564) is used in Western blot to detect PDK4 in mouse skeletal muscle tissue lysate .
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot analysis of PDK4 (arrow) using PDK4 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4564). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the PDK4 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human skeletal musclereacted with PDK4 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4564), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining.
This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

This gene is a member of the PDK/BCKDK protein kinase family and encodes a mitochondrial protein with a histidine kinase domain. This protein is located in the matrix of the mitrochondria and inhibits the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex by phosphorylating one of its subunits, thereby contributing to the regulation of glucose metabolism. Expression of this gene is regulated by glucocorticoids, retinoic acid and insulin. [provided by RefSeq
