Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot analysis of EIF2AK1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB3272) in A-375 cell lysate. EIF2AK1 (arrow) was detected using purified polyclonal antibody. Secondary HRP-anti-rabbit was used for signal visualization with chemiluminescence.Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue reacted with EIF2AK1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB3272) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. HC = hepatocarcinoma. -

Gene Description
eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2-alpha kinase 1
Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene acts at the level of translation initiation to downregulate protein synthesis in response to stress. The encoded protein is a kinase that can be inactivated by hemin. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
