Applications
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot analysis of MIPEP (arrow) using rabbit MIPEP polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB3114). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the MIPEP gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue reacted with MIPEP polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB3114) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. -

HyperlinkGene Summary
The product of this gene performs the final step in processing a specific class of nuclear-encoded proteins targeted to the mitochondrial matrix or inner membrane. This protein is primarily involved in the maturation of oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS)-related proteins. This gene may contribute to the functional effects of frataxin deficiency and the clinical manifestations of Friedreich ataxia. [provided by RefSeq
