Applications
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot analysis of SPRED1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB3100) (arrow). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the SPRED1 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with SPRED1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB3100) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. -

Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Sprouty family of proteins and is phosphorylated by tyrosine kinase in response to several growth factors. The encoded protein can act as a homodimer or as a heterodimer with SPRED2 to regulate activation of the MAP kinase cascade. Defects in this gene are a cause of neurofibromatosis type 1-like syndrome (NFLS). [provided by RefSeq
