Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Application

Western Blot (Transfected lysate)

Western Blot analysis with RING1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB30560).
Lane 1: Negative control (vector only transfected HEK293T lysate)
Lane 2: Over-expression lysate (Co-expressed with a C-terminal myc-DDK tag (~3.1 kDa) in mammalian HEK293T cells)

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Application

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)

Immunohistochemical staining (Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) of human nasopharynx with RING1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB30560) shows strong nuclear and moderate cytoplasmic positivity in respiratory epithelial cells.

Immunofluorescence
Application

Immunofluorescence

Immunofluorescent staining of human cell line A-431 with RING1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB30560) shows positivity in cytoplasm and nucleus but excluded from the nucleoli. Antibody staining is shown in green.

    Gene Summary

This gene belongs to the RING finger family, members of which encode proteins characterized by a RING domain, a zinc-binding motif related to the zinc finger domain. The gene product can bind DNA and can act as a transcriptional repressor. It is associated with the multimeric polycomb group protein complex. The gene product interacts with the polycomb group proteins BMI1, EDR1, and CBX4, and colocalizes with these proteins in large nuclear domains. It interacts with the CBX4 protein via its glycine-rich C-terminal domain. The gene maps to the HLA class II region, where it is contiguous with the RING finger genes FABGL and HKE4.
