  • Applications
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western blot analysis of PPBP polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2955) in CEM cell line lysates (35 ug/lane). PPBP (arrow) was detected using the purified polyclonal antibody.
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinomareacted with PPBP polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2955), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining.
This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

  • Gene Description:
  • pro-platelet basic protein (chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 7)
  • Gene Summary:
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a platelet-derived growth factor that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This growth factor is a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophils. It has been shown to stimulate various cellular processes including DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and sythesis of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also stimulates the formation and secretion of plasminogen activator by synovial cells. [provided by RefSeq
