Chicken polyclonal antibody raised against recombinant Human CHAT.
A KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of CHAT gene product shared between the human (P_066264, NCBI) and mouse (Q03059, NCBI) sequences.
Antigen affinity purification
Quality Control Testing:
CHAT polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB29065) was analyzed by immunocytological staining (at a concentration of 3 ug/mL) using fluorescein-labeled goat anti-chicken IgY (1:500 dilution) as the secondary reagent. CHAT-positive neurons (red) in the neostriatum of a GFP-expressing transgenic mouse.
Immunocytochemistry(1:1000-1:2000) Immunohistochemistry(1:1000-1:2000) The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
In PBS, pH 7.2 (0.02% sodium azide)
Store at 4°C and avoid from light. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.
This gene encodes an enzyme which catalyzes the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This gene product is a characteristic feature of cholinergic neurons, and changes in these neurons may explain some of the symptoms of Alzheimer disease. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital myasthenic syndrome associated with episodic apnea. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, and some of these variants have been shown to encode more than one isoform. [provided by RefSeq
