Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue reacted with PGK2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2727) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry ; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. HC = hepatocarcinoma.
The PGK2 gene encodes a testis-specific form of phosphoglycerate kinase (EC 18.104.22.168), which catalyzes the reversible conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate during glycolysis, generating one molecule of ATP. See also PGK1 (MIM 311800), which is ubiquitously expressed in all somatic tissues and maps to chromosome Xq13.[supplied by OMIM
