Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
Application

Western Blot (Tissue lysate)

The NCOR1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2352) is used in Western blot to detect NCOR1 in mouse thymus tissue lysate.

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Application

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the NCOR1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2352) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry ; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma.

    Gene Summary

This gene encodes a protein that mediates ligand-independent transcription repression of thyroid-hormone and retinoic-acid receptors by promoting chromatin condensation and preventing access of the transcription machinery. It is part of a complex which also includes histone deacetylases and transcriptional regulators similar to the yeast protein Sin3p. This gene is located between the Charcot-Marie-Tooth and Smith-Magenis syndrome critical regions on chromosome 17. An alternatively spliced transcript variant has been described, but its full length sequence has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq

    Other Designations

thyroid hormone- and retinoic acid receptor-associated corepressor 1
