Applications
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot analysis of RPS6KA1 (arrow) using RPS6KA1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2115). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the RPS6KA1 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue reacted with RPS6KA1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2115) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining.
This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry ; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. -

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase contains 2 nonidentical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signalling pathway. The activity of this protein has been implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
