Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot analysis of DES polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1953) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35 ug/lane).DES (arrow) was detected using the purified polyclonal antibody.Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinomareacted with DES polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1953), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining.
This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. -

Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes a muscle-specific class III intermediate filament. Homopolymers of this protein form a stable intracytoplasmic filamentous network connecting myofibrils to each other and to the plasma membrane. Mutations in this gene are associated with desmin-related myopathy, a familial cardiac and skeletal myopathy (CSM), and with distal myopathies. [provided by RefSeq
