Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
The SNAI1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1924) is used in Western blot to detect SNAI1 in SNAI1-293 cells (flag-tagged) . Data is kindly provided by Stefan Grotegut from University of Basel (Switzerland) .Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast cancer tissue reacted with SNAI1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1924) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human kidney tissue reacted with SNAI1 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB1924) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. -

HyperlinkGene Summary
The Drosophila embryonic protein snail is a zinc finger transcriptional repressor which downregulates the expression of ectodermal genes within the mesoderm. The nuclear protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to the Drosophila snail protein, and is also thought to be critical for mesoderm formation in the developing embryo. At least two variants of a similar processed pseudogene have been found on chromosome 2. [provided by RefSeq
