Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against synthetic peptide of BIK.
A synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminus of human BIK.
Human, Mouse, Rat
Jurkat cell lysate, mouse small intestine and rat kidney can be used as positive controls. This antibody detects a ~17 KDa BIK in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins. A ~15 KDa cleavage fragment can also be detected.
Western Blot (2-6 ug/mL) The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.

This product contains thimerosal: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.
The protein encoded by this gene is known to interact with cellular and viral survival-promoting proteins, such as BCL2 and the Epstein-Barr virus in order to enhance programed cell death. Because its activity is suppressed in the presence of survival-promoting proteins, this protein is suggested as a likely target for antiapoptotic proteins. This protein shares a critical BH3 domain with other death-promoting proteins, BAX and BAK. [provided by RefSeq
