Product Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against synthetic phosphopeptide of Aqp2.
Immunogen
Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding S269 of rat Aqp2.
Host
Rabbit
Theoretical MW (kDa)
29, 37
Reactivity
Bovine, Dog, Mouse, Rat
Specificity
This antibody has been directly tested for reactivity in Western blots with rat tissue. It is anticipated that This antibody will react with bovine, canine and mouse tissues based on the fact that these species have 100% homology with the amino acid sequence used as antigen. specific to the ~29k AQP2 protein phosphorylated at Ser269. Also recognizes the glycosylated form of AQP2 at ~ 37k. Immunolabeling of the AQP2 band is blocked by preadsorption with the phospho-peptide used as antigen but not by the corresponding dephospho-peptide.
Form
Liquid
Purification
Affinity purification
Recommend Usage
Western Blot (1:1000)
The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.Storage Buffer
In 10 mM HEPES, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5 (50% glycerol, 0.1 mg/mL BSA)
Storage Instruction
For long term store at -80°C is recommended, but shorter term storage at -20°C is also acceptable as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to the presence of 50 % glycerol.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. -
Applications
Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
Western blot of vasopressin (AVP) treated rat kidney lysate showing specific immunolabeling of the ~ 29k and 37k glycosylated form of the Aqp2 protein phosphorylated at Ser269. Using Aqp2 (phospho S269) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB17203). -
