  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Identification of RAD18 protein in crude extract of A-549 cells by western blotting with RAD18 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB15575). The lower thick band is native RAD18 and the upper thin band is mono-ubiquitinated RAD18 protein.
  • Immunofluorescence
  • Immunofluorescence
  • Indirect immunofluorescence staining of RAD18 protein in GM637 cells by RAD18 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB15575). RAD18 protein is stained as yellow dots in nuclei.

  • Gene Information
  • Gene Name:
  • RAD18
  • Gene Alias:
  • RNF73
  • Gene Description:
  • RAD18 homolog (S. cerevisiae)
  • Gene Summary:
  • The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to S. cerevisiae DNA damage repair protein Rad18. Yeast Rad18 functions through its interaction with Rad6, which is an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replication repair of damaged DNA. Similar to its yeast counterpart, this protein is able to interact with the human homolog of yeast Rad6 protein through a conserved ring-finger motif. Mutation of this motif results in defective replication of UV-damaged DNA and hypersensitivity to multiple mutagens. [provided by RefSeq
