Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against synthetic peptide of RBP4.
A synthetic peptide corresponding to human RBP4.
Human, Mouse, Rat
The rabbit anti-human Retinol-binding protein 4 detects specifically target derived from recombinant protein as well as cellular proteins at various concentrations. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat are expected from sequence similarity.
ELISA (1:10000-1:20000) Western Blot (1:1000-1:5000) The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
Store at -20°C. For long term storage store at -80°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This protein belongs to the lipocalin family and is the specific carrier for retinol (vitamin A alcohol) in the blood. It delivers retinol from the liver stores to the peripheral tissues. In plasma, the RBP-retinol complex interacts with transthyretin which prevents its loss by filtration through the kidney glomeruli. A deficiency of vitamin A blocks secretion of the binding protein posttranslationally and results in defective delivery and supply to the epidermal cells. [provided by RefSeq
