Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against native COL3A1.
Native purified COL3A1 from human placenta.
This antibody reacts with human collagen type III 100% binding in RIA at 1:40 dilution, cross-reactivity with human collagen type I and IV <1.0%; human collagen type II and V <0.1%; human fibronectin and human laminin <0.1%.
Immunohistochemistry (1:200-1:600) Immunofluorescence (1:80) The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
Lyophilized from phosphate buffer
Store at -20°C. Aliquot after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This gene encodes the pro-alpha1 chains of type III collagen, a fibrillar collagen that is found in extensible connective tissues such as skin, lung, uterus, intestine and the vascular system, frequently in association with type I collagen. Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome types IV, and with aortic and arterial aneurysms. Two transcripts, resulting from the use of alternate polyadenylation signals, have been identified for this gene. [provided by R. Dalgleish
