Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot using PPARG polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB11248) shows detection of PPARG protein in a mouse NIH/3T3 whole cell lysate (Lane 1 arrowhead).
Approximately 20 ug of lysate was loaded onto a 4-20% gradient gel followed by transfer to nitrocellulose.
Primary antibody was used at a 1 : 2,000 dilution in 5% BLOTTO PBS solution.
The membrane was washed and reacted with a 1 : 10,000 dilution of IRDye.
IgG™800 Conjugated Affinity Purified Goat-anti-Rabbit [H&L] MX10.
Molecular weight estimation was made by comparison to prestained MW markers indicated at the left (Lane M).Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) subfamily of nuclear receptors. PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes. Three subtypes of PPARs are known: PPAR-alpha, PPAR-delta, and PPAR-gamma. The protein encoded by this gene is PPAR-gamma and is a regulator of adipocyte differentiation. Additionally, PPAR-gamma has been implicated in the pathology of numerous diseases including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq
