  • Applications
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • The RB1 (phospho S612) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB0597) is used in Western blot to detect RB1 in, from left to right, HL-60, T-47D, and SK-BR-3 cell lysates.
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue reacted with RB1 (phospho S612) polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB0597) which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. HC = hepatocarcinoma

  • Gene Name:
  • RB1
  • Gene Alias:
  • OSRC,RB,p105-Rb,pRb,pp110
  • Gene Description:
  • retinoblastoma 1
  • Gene Summary:
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. The encoded protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1. Defects in this gene are a cause of childhood cancer retinoblastoma (RB), bladder cancer, and osteogenic sarcoma. [provided by RefSeq
