  • 42.7
  • Reactivity:
  • Human
  • Form:
  • Lyophlized
  • Preparation Method:
  • Escherichia coli expression system
  • Purity:
  • 90%
  • Endotoxin Level:
  • Endotoxin level is < 0.1 ng/ug of protein (< 1 EU/ug).
  • Activity:
  • MMP-1 activity was measured by its ability to cleave a chromogenic peptide MMP-1 substrate at room temperature. At an MMP-1 concentration of 2.5 ug/ml, 50% cleavage was achieved at an incubation time of approximately 25 minutes.
  • Recommend Usage:
  • Activity assay
    SDS-PAGE
The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
  • Storage Buffer:
  • Lyophilized from 15mM Sodium Phosphate (pH 7.2, 75mM NaCl).
  • Storage Instruction:
  • Store at -20°C.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex.
For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in buffer containing carrier protein (e.g. 0.1% BSA) and store in aliquots at -20°C to -80°C is recommended.

  • Gene Information
  • Entrez GeneID:
  • 4312
  • Gene Name:
  • MMP1
  • Gene Alias:
  • CLG,CLGN
  • Gene Description:
  • matrix metallopeptidase 1 (interstitial collagenase)
  • Gene Summary:
  • Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. This gene encodes a secreted enzyme which breaks down the interstitial collagens, types I, II, and III. The gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes which localize to chromosome 11q22.3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq
