Human TGFB1 (NP_004603.1, 200 a.a. - 503 a.a.) partial recombinant protein with GST tag expressed in Baculovirus infected Sf21 cells.
Theoretical MW (kDa):
Baculovirus infected insect cell (Sf21) expression system
Glutathione sepharose chromatography
74 % by SDS-PAGE/CBB staining
The activity was measured by off-chip mobility shift assay. The enzyme was incubated with fluorescence-labeled substrate and Mg(or Mn)/ATP. The phosphorylated and unphosphorylated substrates were separated and detected by LabChip3000. Substrate : TopoIIa peptide. ATP: 100 µM.
Quality Control Testing:
SDS-PAGE Stained with Coomassie Blue
In 50 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5 (0.1% CHAPS, 1 mM DTT, 10% glycerol)
Store at -80°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
TGFB is a multifunctional peptide that controls proliferation, differentiation, and other functions in many cell types. TGFB acts synergistically with TGFA (MIM 190170) in inducing transformation. It also acts as a negative autocrine growth factor. Dysregulation of TGFB activation and signaling may result in apoptosis. Many cells synthesize TGFB and almost all of them have specific receptors for this peptide. TGFB1, TGFB2 (MIM 190220), and TGFB3 (MIM 190230) all function through the same receptor signaling systems.[supplied by OMIM
