Human AURKC (NP_002392.2, 1 a.a. - 275 a.a.) full-length recombinant protein with GST tag expressed in Baculovirus infected Sf21 cells.
Theoretical MW (kDa):
Baculovirus expression system
Glutathione sepharose chromatography
80 % by SDS-PAGE/CBB staining
The activity was measured by off-chip mobility shift assay. The enzyme was incubated with fluorescence-labeled substrate and Mg (or Mn)/ATP. The phosphorylated and unphosphorylated substrates were separated and detected by LabChip™3000. Substrate : Kemptide. ATP: 100 µM.
Quality Control Testing:
Loading 1 ug protein in SDS-PAGE
In 50 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5 (0.1% CHAPS, 1 mM DTT, 10% glycerol)
Store at -80°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This gene encodes a member of the Aurora subfamily of serine/threonine protein kinases. The encoded protein is a chromosomal passenger protein that forms complexes with Aurora-B and inner centromere proteins and may play a role in organizing microtubules in relation to centrosome/spindle function during mitosis. This gene is overexpressed in several cancer cell lines, suggesting an involvement in oncogenic signal transduction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq
