Human BUB1B (NP_001202.4, 1 a.a. - 1050 a.a.) full-length recombinant protein with GST tag expressed in baculovirus infected Sf21 cells.
Theoretical MW (kDa):
Baculovirus infected insect cell (Sf21) expression system
Glutathione sepharose chromatography
74 % by SDS-PAGE/CBB staining
The activity was determined by ELISA. The enzyme was incubated with biotinylated substrate protein, and after stopping kinase reaction by EDTA, the reaction solution was transferred into streptavidin- coated plate. Phosphorylation was detected by anti-phospho antibody and HRP-labeled anti-rabbit IgG. Substrate: Histone H1. ATP: 100 uM.
Quality Control Testing:
Loading 1 ug protein in SDS-PAGE
In 50 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5 (0.1% CHAPS, 1 mM DTT, 10% glycerol)
Store at -80°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This gene encodes a kinase involved in spindle checkpoint function. The protein has been localized to the kinetochore and plays a role in the inhibition of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), delaying the onset of anaphase and ensuring proper chromosome segregation. Impaired spindle checkpoint function has been found in many forms of cancer. [provided by RefSeq
