Product Description
A partially purified preparation containing a mixture of RNase A and RNase B. A soluble, dialyzed lyophilized powder.
Biological function
Pancreatic ribonuclease (RNase) is an endoribonuclease. There are two forms, RNase A and RNase B, RNase B is the glycosylated form of RNase A.
Host
Bovine
Theoretical MW (kDa)
14.7
Form
Lyophilized
Preparation Method
Native protein purified from Bovine Pancreas
Activity
>=1,000 units per mg dry weight. One Kunitz unit is the amount of enzyme required to cause an increase in absorbance of 1.0 at 260 nm at 37°C (pH 5.0) when yeast rRNA is hydrolyzed to acid-soluble oligonucleotides. 50 units are equivalent to 1 Kunitz unit.
Recommend Usage
Ribonuclease Assay; RNA removal during DNA isolation; RNA sequence analysis; RNase protection assays; RNA quantification or mapping.
