Native protein chromatographically purified from Clostridium histolyticum
Activity
>=500 units per mg dry weight. One Unit releases one micromole of L-leucine equivalents from collagen in 5 hours at 37°C, pH 7.5.

Collagenase Assay; Pancreatic and parotid acini isolation and collagen structural analysis.
Storage Instruction
Store at 4°C on dry atmosphere.
For primary cell isolation, culture and tissue dissociation: Reconstituted in balanced salt solutions (such as Hank's, Earle's and others) at concentrations from 0.05% to 0.5% (w/v). For enzymetic assay: Reconstituted in 0.05 M TES buffer with 0.36 mM calcium chloride, pH 7.5 at a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml. -
