HEK 293T cells were mock transfected (thin line) or transfected with an expression plasmid enabling surface expression of the extracellular domain of human TNFRSF13B (thick line). Cells (5 X 105) were incubated on ice for 30 minutes in 50 uL FACS buffer (PBS, 5% fetal calf serum, 0.02% sodium azide) containing 1 ug/mL of TNFRSF13B monoclonal antibody, clone 1A1 (Cat # MAB3729).
The protein encoded by this gene is a lymphocyte-specific member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. It interacts with calcium-modulator and cyclophilin ligand (CAML). The protein induces activation of the transcription factors NFAT, AP1, and NF-kappa-B and plays a crucial role in humoral immunity by interacting with a TNF ligand.
